Welcome to Casa Tranquilla

Our lovingly restored traditional 19th Century Italian farmhouse has real “cotto” tile floors and beamed ceilings throughout. Located in the heart of the peaceful Italian countryside, and just outside the little medieval town of Loro Piceno, the farmhouse is surrounded by arable farmland, including 16 acres that we own, complete with vines and olive trees. The house enjoys a sunny, south-facing aspect with commanding views over the rolling countryside.

We have two well-appointed apartments comprising Papavero on the ground floor for 5 people and Pipistrello on the first floor for 4/5 people. Both apartments have under-floor central heating and fully-equipped modern kitchens. Bathroom towels and bed linen are provided. Outside in the garden there is a shared 12 x 6 metre internally-lit swimming pool (normally open June through to September), a gazebo, and a summer house with shower and toilet. There is shade in the garden, and ample parking is available for both apartments.

The property is just over an hour’s drive from Ancona airport, with good alternatives at Pescara, Perugia and Rimini, and is within easy reach of the magnificent Sibillini Mountains and National Park as well as the beautiful beaches of the Adriatic Sea. The area offers a lot for visitors, whether you prefer to be active or passive.
